About
-----

`CRTM`_ stands for "Radiative Transfer Model". It is a library maintained by `Joint Center for Satellite Data Assimilation (JCSDA)`_. The goal of installing CRTM on Discoverer HPC is to support the building of :doc:`upp`.

Supported versions
------------------

To check which CRTM versions and build types are currently supported on Discoverer, execute on the login node:

.. code-block:: bash

 module avail

and grep the output for "crtm".

Loading
-------

To obtain access to the latest CRTM build, load the environment module that matches your compiler requirements:

.. code:: bash

 module load crtm/2/latest-intel
